Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on 5 August for its second season. Chen Moonves has been a part of The Talk since 2010, when she was both the host and the moderator. Her true love in life was writing, and she was awarded an Emmy. The Talk, her outstanding talk show earned her an Emmy. From 2002 until 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. The anchor was for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour of news in the early hours of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq, among other major news stories on The Early Show. After 9/11, she was sent to Cairo and found the hijacker's lead father for a riveting and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked alongside newsmakers like former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania and the former Defense Secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter who has featured stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was a reporter with WDTN TV Dayton which was based in Dayton the state of Ohio (1995-1997). Previous jobs included working as a reporter for ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant within ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) and all the while she was finishing her final year in school from the University of Southern California. As a desk assistant, she worked for ABC News' Nightline program featuring Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel has remained among her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker for Anatomy of a Riot (the primetime special that won the Columbia du-Pont award and focused on how the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
