Stella Maeve (born in 1961) is an American actor who is best known for the outstanding actress on Julia Wicker who appeared on The Magicians. Maeve is from New York. She is a part of Blackfoot as well as Cherokee. She appeared in Liminality which was a short film that was released in 2005. In the same year, she appeared for the first time on the big screen in the highly acclaimed comedy-drama Transamerica. The the same year, her debut television appearance came in the Season Four episode in the show Law & Order Criminal Intent. Nadia Decotis became a part of Dick Wolf's Chicago brand Chicago P.D. . She played the character from 2015 and reprised the role on Law & Order Special Victims Unit which is a series from Wolf s other TV franchise. Also, she began playing the lead female character Julia Wicker in the Syfy fantasy-drama series The Magicians that year. Stella Maeve began to establish herself in the TV industry, but she also continued her work in independent films. She was awarded the Robert Altman award at the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards for her part in the drama Starlet which was released in 2012.
