Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically acclaimed performance of charming and naive characters. Adams grew as the seventh year old living in Castle Rock Colorado. The mid-1990s saw her begin professional dancing and acting in the Boulder Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. In the following year she was in Minnesota in a small local theatre she was chosen to be a part of a mock film documentary on beauty pageants titled Drop Dead Gorgeous. Following her successful screen debut where she played an unfriendly, but obnoxious contestant, Janet relocated into Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. From June 1951 until September 1962, she got married with actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was discovered by actress Norma Shearer and signed a contract to be a part of MGM in the 1940s. She appeared in several popular movies in the subsequent decade like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film that was released in 1954).
